You are right about that. 5 games, 5 quality starts.

I'm just worried about Tech's hitting

I'm hopeful that we will see them progress as the season grows. Often it takes a while for bats to get going. Lots of new guys and getting the lineup in order may take a few weeks. Fortunately the pitching has been really good early on. Need to get these games in this weekend against a team we should get 2/3 or sweep at home.

All that said we could end up being a bad offensive team

RE: 2/20 and 2/21 baseball action
Somewhat in an odd twist the UTSA game was cancelled due to a cold front. I saw on the UTSA twitter where the team had already made the 4 hour trip so they took BP and such while in Abilene since they were already there. My thought process was is the cold fronts in Texas something that can't be projected or did it just move through really fast? Seems like a long road trip to not play a game. I could see if they had another game scheduled today as well but to go that far for 1 game and have it cancelled after you get there.

WKU looks like a JUCO team, appears our coach gave up on developing talent and just recruited the most JUCO's he could possibly get....

Weather in Texas changes rapidly sometimes, but it can usually be predicted, so I'm not really sure what the deal was with that. I do know the temperature in Abilene is freezing today (29 degrees, and cloudy and windy), so they wouldn't have been able to play the game today either, which is why it was cancelled. We have a home series against Texas Tech starting on Friday.

Pitching is always ahead of hitting early in the year. But hitting catches up later.

It's kinda like in football, when defenses are usually ahead of offenses early in the season. That's because offenses require more development, timing, coordination, etc....against a defenses they haven't yet seen.

In wednesday action UAB won while Charlotte lost to put CUSA at 5-5 for the midweek games. Not great but at least it wasn't a losing record
