Yes we are in the weakest year in CBB in a LONG TIME!!! I still only seen ONE team we've played with better group of players and that was UCLA!!! Every game we lost Mick got out coached

There is only one negative Nancy:

We're probably closer to the 5th best team in the country than the 11th best team, but given our losses in some of our big games, I'd say 11 is fair.

Good to see you've just started paying attention. Houston has beaten Arkansas, Providence, Wake Forest, Temple (twice), and Wichita State this year. WSU has beaten Baylor, Houston, Temple, Marquette, and Okie State. Those two are doing just fine.

Yeah, I'd agree with this. We crush average & below-average teams, but are exposed by good teams.

If we were in the Big 12 or Big East I think we'd have a conference record that's 1 or 2 games over .500.

Maybe a game better than the 06/07 team. We would have beaten Seton Hall.

??? In 06/07 we were 2-14 in the Big East. That's not what I was saying at all.

Look I hope UC proves my OVER RATED is wrong, but to date we have beat pushovers save UH at home and UCLA. I think we should be top 25 only based on who we beat.

I am more of a fan than most of you have been. I watched Oscar in the Armory, I was at UC in the NCAA Champ years, I had center seats for 20 years until I could no long stand watching no offense. I still donate over $5,000 per year to UC. My estate leaves UC millions. Been to every UC bowl except last two bowlcations.

What have you contributed?

Sorry to inform you boys but at least half of those votes were sent in before UC lost at home on Sunday evening. Probably by some secretary or assistant in a few cases. Wins over UConn and Tulsa should put them right around 14 this time next week.

Count on one thing for sure. If Houston wins the AAC tourney the best seed the AAC will get is a 6. Don't need Mark's metrics to deal with reality.

Yea but since we held a bunch of 150-200 rpi teams to 50 points we have a super elite defense.

Mark, not pointing to kenpom yada yada yada, please explain to me how you draw that conclusion? If we truly are the 5th best team in the country, shouldn’t we be able to beat the lower ranked WSU’s at home, and sweep the borderline top-25 Houston’s? Or are you saying that WSU is #4 or better, and Houston is #6?

It just seems to me that yes, we get our W’s and reputation and metrics off much lesser teams, to the point where we are overrated, and then get exposed against the good teams we play.

*I’m not going to get in to a battle with anyone on here, so don’t bother flaming me.

You can point to almost every team and find losses that should be wins. Shouldn't Villanova be able to win at a mediocre providence team or at home against st johns? Shouldn't ohio state not get swept by penn state (or lose by nearly 30 to Gonzaga). Uc is 5-3 in quad 1 games and 7-1 in quad 2 games. All their losses are good losses. They need to win a couple games like that but there is far more evidence they're really good than the other way around.

Btw it's a convenient argument to say "ignoring all the statistical evidence that suggests they are atop 5-10 team...yada yada yada" tell me how you can actually believe uc is a top ten team.

Still waiting for three dedication ceremony when they reopen tnt shoe next year. I'm hearing there is going to be a lounge area called the Doss2.0 lounge. Minimum donation level starts at a million for lifetime if you want to use it.

I didn’t mean the yada yada yada to be disrespectful. In hindsight I shouldn’t have phrased it that way.

As for the second part, as they say there are lies, damn lies, and statistics. Sooner or later you gotta walk the walk, and beat the teams you are supposed to beat. It just doesn’t seem like UC does that very often.

Well, I too watched Oscar in the Armory and was at UC in the championship years and was a UCAT and season ticket holder for many years, but my estate (if you could call it that) isn't leaving UC a goddamned nickel because I figure I have given them enough tuition money and UCATS fees over the years.03-lmfao
