I agree wholeheartedly with this. Need more tourney wins as a conference.

What we really need is better scheduling non conference, and how about beating a few quality teams while we are at it? Those wins over McNeese (RPI 295) or Alabama State (351) or Kennesaw State (291) are brutal on both individual and conference RPI.

very frustrating when Panthers have to work every possession to set up plays for lousy 2points every 30sec....while UTA guards make 3s from way beyond the line so quickly..dont think they're even setting their feet, very hard to defend when it works. UTA perimeter shooting is hot so far, cant deny that. 46-38 Mavs halftime.

Can pretty much anyone except the Arkansas teams get one of the top 4 seeds now?

The Coastal at AState game has been delayed due to severe weather. Expecting a 7:45-8:00 start roughly.

App escapes Little Rock 69-67, now 8-9 in the league.

Someone work on tiebreakers ASAP.

I say this while watching Georgia State losses, I say this while watching Georgia State wins, I say this while watching other Sun Belt teams play: This conference's referees are the most shamefully bad basketball referees I have ever seen, at any level. I'm shocked when they get a call RIGHT. They are so poorly trained it is pathetic.

It is utterly embarrassing and I expect nothing to ever change.

AState and Coastal still in a rain delay.

You see...we're having some roof issues currently, so it's just sort of raining inside the Arena.

Congrats! Your guys made the shots when we couldn’t. Hard to win that many games back to back in this conference no matter who you play. Great game to watch as a basketball fan. Going to be tight to see where we all stand going in to the tournament.

You kind of left out the tornado warning and 70mph winds part of that public service announcement.

Have the confirmed whether it was a Tornado? I was hearing Straight Line winds

Either way, the Tornado was immaterial. It was raining inside FNB Arena. We were in a rain delay. Those type of cool things don't happen often...

You need to understand that the conference does not assign referees; there are no such thing as conference referees in college basketball like football.

Not that it was really in question, but the Cajuns lock up the regular season title with that.

EDIT: And it appears we've locked up the second seed with ULM's loss.

Also worth noting that the referees we get on Saturday's are notoriously worse than the Thursday refs because all the major conferences are in action, so the top referees work those games.

I don't think it was a tornado. All I was saying that there was a warning and high winds. Basing all of that on phone calls to my parents and the in-laws who live in Jonesboro. Score is 20 even in Jonesboro right now.

OK, let me rephrase. The referees who work this conference's basketball games are pathetic. They are horribly bad. They make calls that make me scratch my head whether or not they go against my team. As others have pointed out, even though the refs aren't assigned to the conference, certain decisions by the conference and its lack of attention to basketball cause the conference to use refs who are pathetically bad. I watch a lot of college basketball...Sun Belt refs are on another level of terrible. It is unacceptable.
