I just went through their schedule and by my count, they had 16 losses by one or two runs.
Yeah, I know, the good teams find a way to win... blah blah blah
However, if you just flip half of those close losses and their record is 36-18. And, the AAC is no slouch in baseball.

Yeah, a lot of that has to do with turnover in the pitching ranks under Neal. The bullpen was bare this year, and when that's the case you tend to lose a lot of close games. Heck, I think a majority of those we had a lead in the later innings too.

I think Googins and staff did a great job coaching up the players this year. Next year is going to be tough as they lose key players like Manny Rodriguez, Connor McVey, Kyle Mottice and AJ Perez. On the flip side, young players can contribute in baseball much earlier than in football and even basketball. Here's to hoping we have some great players in the pipeline.

Well... at least we beat THE Ohio $tate university.
