Thanks for the updates Nation! I was at a play tonight and missed everything. It doesn't look like I missed much regarding our offense. WOW! We just need to stay inside the ball and drive it or something. Our pitching is awesome and the defense is pretty solid but we need to be aggressive when we need to be and get some hits if we want to do anything. Go Hawks...a win is a win and we may start to build some MO! Need to come out firing Saturday!!!

One of my friends on the team said they were told they had already lost their at large bid (how they know this, I don’t know. Maybe they were just guessing). Regardless, they can still win a regular season championship with series still to play against Northeastern and Charleston and put themselves in good position for a tournament championshipo. Today was a big win for Royalty and hopefully he gets even better next week.

We did what we needed to do offensively. We were patient at the plate and worked a lot of walks against a veteran (albeit struggling) Friday starter. I'm not saying it was a good offensive performance, but we took what they gave us; a lot of walks. Jackson Meadows came through with the big hit of the day in that 4-run rally; a 2-run single that was the only hit of the inning.

To beat better competition, yes, we'll need guys not named Ryan Jeffers and Mason Berne to get a lot better. But we've been saying that all season.

The 2008 CAA Championship team will be getting honored pre-game. Brett Braxton, Stephen Harrold, Chris Johnson, Matt Holt, Jeff Hatcher, Mike Rooney, Mark Carver, and Jennifer Flood (representing Allen Flood) are all here today.

Allen passed away last year after a battle with cancer, at the age of 31.

Bad start to the game here for the Hawks. Error by Weiss puts Towson's leadoff hitter on, and a base hit to the right side places runners at the corners with no one out.

Throwing error by Bridges on a stolen base puts Towson on the board 1-0.

An RBI groundout makes it 2-0 Towson. 2 down in the inning.

RBI double that rolls to the wall brings in another. 3-0 Towson.

On an appeal play where the Hawks thought Towson's Richard Miller didn't touch first on the double, Roupp commits a throwing error, allowing another runner to score all the way from 2nd. The umpire ruled that Miller did indeed touch first, to which Coach Scalf argued. It was to no avail.

4-0 Towson.

The Hawks get a 2-out single out of Jeffers, but nothing more. 4-0 Towson as we head to the 2nd.

Roupp gets the first 2 batters in the inning, but a walk, error by Jones, and a double bring in 2 for Towson.

6-0 Tigers.

None of the 6 runs allowed so far are earned runs for Roupp.

RBI single. 7-0.

Blake Morgan enters for Roupp, who had thrown 49 pitches.

Roup needs to sue for nonsupport.
