Absolutely. I'm on the fence about Penny, but it's truly a no-brainer to let Tubby go - the university would lose money if they kept him in order to "save" money.

If I am the AD I take Tubby out back and whip his ass this afternoon.

Then I fire Tubby first thing in the morning and hire Penny Hardaway.

I'm on board with the fire/hire Penny. It's a risk but Penny can hire assistants to help with the legwork. This program is in dire need of some kind of hope or excitement. Penny knows how to coach and should recruit like crazy. We are at a 40-50 year low point right now thanks to Tubbys hard head. It will not get better until Tubby is sent packing I'm. Sad but Tubby hit the ground here snoozing when he had a chance to go out in a blaze of glory had he not been so hard headed.

It's much better to hire a coach that will have the work ethic to do the daily grind and bring in Penny as an assistant coach to test the waters.
