I can take a loss if I see what we have known as Kent State Basketball. This is not it and I am surprised that it is happening under Senderoff. This team is not playing hard and least of all smart. It is only half time so maybe we can recover.
Had Jimmy Hall not shown up on campus, Senderoff doesn’t last. This is my opinion, of course. I feel like he has to win with next years group or else it may be time part ways.
I was thinking the exact same thing a few days ago...I'm guessing w/o Jimmy, Sendy is probably not at KSU today....

I love to watch college basketball and Kent will always be the team I follow but I know what you mean. The last few years I’ve gone from being an enthusiastic Kent fan to just a basketball fan. Both the women’s and men’s team have become mediocre at best in the last 10 years (with a few exceptions). It’s too bad but I’ve come to the conclusion that great teams at Kent (2012 football, 2002 etc basketball, 2011 gymnastics, 2012 baseball etc) don’t result in improved recruiting and sustained sucess. They are just blips on the radar. The money is not their and the coaches usually don’t stay so I’ve resigned myself to lowering the expectations and just enjoying the occasional good team and/or player. Other than golf we just don’t have any programs that can sustain that degree of success.

Absolutely it will be "under attended"...Believe we have sold this game out every year since '99. No way this one will be. Those sell-outs included a crowd of about 25% Zips fans and most of them aren't coming this year. I'm guessing a crowd of 4,500...

RE: Kent State @ Buffalo
wow, everyone is down today.
hmmmm... i'm not seeing it.
basketball team is better than ever, but the record doesn't reflect that fact.
jaywalk needs to learn how to play within the system - too often just trying to make things happen on his own.
work-in pippen more to give de la rosa some rest - de la rosa worn-out / gassed at the end of the game yesterday
i like this team.
we'll be fine. we're battle-tested, ready for this final stretch before mac tourney.
go flashes!

How is that? "better than ever"? I've been accused of watching our games with "one eye closed"...I'm thinking that you might at least need glasses! Just having fun & not trying to pick a fight...

RE: Kent State @ Buffalo
Here is my take. I've watched almost every game Kent has played in the last few years and the game plan with Jimmy Hall and Deon Edwin finally worked toward the end of last season. Fast forward to this year and that same game plan of throwing the ball, now, to AD, is the same one that worked for the Edwin/Hall era. Unfortunately, AD can't even begin to tie Jimmy Hall's shoes. It just isn't working and Senderoff apparently is hoping somehow, someway, it's finally going to start happening and I think we will see a snowball in July before it does. I cringe every time AD gets the ball because it usually ends up not working and another turnover. Every MAC team has his number at this point in the season. And as much as I like the work of Peterson, he needs to stop shooting three point bricks. His best game was the first game of last season. He looked like the new S. Curry.... and it's been down hill since.
Now I don't claim to be a basketball coach wizard with all the answers but it seems to me that the coaching staff needs to rethink how this team is going to begin to jell and win games. Statistics don't lie and some other posters on here have brought up some very good points citing reasons why a new approach to winning is needed. We may want to start passing the ball quickly.... passing the ball is much quicker than dribbling it to the next player. I've already written about Walker, who, by the way, is a very gifted player but is out of control with his barnyard one on one games that he gets into with the opponent.
