RE: 2 Bid WAC
The last time the WAC was a two bid league, Utah State was ranked in the top 25 and NMSU beat them in the tournament.

Just do not see it happening.

RE: 2 Bid WAC
I think NMSU has a decent chance for an at-large bid, but the loss to San Diego won't do them any favors.

That would be the only scenario remotely possible.

Miami needs to keep winning as well.

The bubble is pretty weak (actually all of CBB is pretty weak this year).

Espn Bracketology has them at 11 seed. That would put them as one of the last 4 in at this point.

Guess it would depend on how the tournament's shake out in the power conferences. I would say no though. Not that they're not deserving, just that a 18-14 Vandy type team will get the nod instead.

Agreed... all too often, the underperforming "Power 5" conference teams will take the spot of a more deserving and more talented mid-major team. I'll say this as a Lopes fan... while I was really hoping for a magical season like Northern Kentucky had last year, where the first year of eligibility resulted in a trip to the Big Dance, I understand that it's probably not in the cards this year. I'll still hope for a CIT bid with a 20 win season.

I think GCU could finally make a decent run in the CIT, unless for some reason they choose no to participate again like they did last year. Not sure if you can snub the CIT in back to back seasons and get consideration in future years. As a fan, I'd rather watch them play in the CIT than to have an early ending to the season. Maybe even the CBI? I know it's pay to play, but there are some bigger names (it's not limited to mid majors like the CIT is), and Canyon has plenty of money to pay the entry fee/hosting fee. Last year just felt empty with no post season of any kind.

An NIT bid is still very possible for you all as well. There's a log jam at 2nd. According to clarity making an NIT run pretty much has all the recruits begging to join you.

Hard pass on pay to play CIT, CUB, V16, or otherwise. If the team really wants to keep playing, earn it. Don't buy it.
