Great to see this team making some extraordinary strides when you look at how they're playing now vs how they played at the beginning of the season.

Both Bryan and Taylor were one rebound away from double doubles, and well... Cacok doing Cacok things.

By now you mean tonight, the last two games were brutal. Tonight was great

The refs on this league are horrible. Once again, there was a massive foul discrepancy at half in one team's favor. And just like last home game the refs made up for it by a massive discrepancy the other way.

I'm not sure how the refs would have preferred Gary handle being forcibly grabbed after a dead ball

Jacque acquitting himself very well with Talley in foul trouble. That’s huge.

Bryan starting off as hot as he did was great!

He deserves a lot of credit for his performance

He played pretty well, but his D is still suspect. When wright Foreman went out they went to Gustys on three straight possessions and Bryant had nothing for him. 3 relatively easy layups. He did have a very nice pass to Estime on that backside cut

RE: Hofstra (Game 2) - Homecoming
Besides Hofstra not shooting well, the biggest takeaway was the across the board contributions. Yes, Cacok did his thing. But, we had five in double figures and a sixth player with nine points. Ty Taylor grabbed 9 rebounds along with his 16 points. Marcus Bryan went 4-5 from the field and grabbed 9 rebounds. Jacque Brown had seven assists and no turnovers. Every player on the court was a factor in some way. Fornes was really the only player with significant minutes who struggled from the field, but even he went 6-6 from the FT line, several when we really needed them.

I don't know if our defense was particularly great, but more that Hofstra just looked gassed.

Certainly. But if he played like he did last night every game for the rest of the year I would be more than thrilled

Help defense was MUCH better and definitely played the pick and roll very well tonight. Good hedging with back end support. And, yes I do think that having the extra rest really helped.

Alex Riley had a nice article on the "technical/double technical" bull. I don't have the link handy. The officiating in its entirety should be reviewed by the league (IMHO).
But back to the game - best complete game effort & performance of the year.

I don’t think Bryan should be criticized too heavily for not being able to handle Gustys like Cacok did. Against most 4’s and a few 5’s in this league, Bryan’s D is typically good.

Got to say hey to Brandon Beane last night. Nice guy. Just wanted to congratulate him for all his success up in Buffalo.

Don't worry, in 2-3 years your team will be back to the 80s and 90s version of itself and you'll hardly be taunting a soul about your patriot fanship. Back to NFL obscurity you shall go. Hope you enjoyed the ride.

I'ts been the ride of a lifetime for sure. But for the record, we did go to a SB in both the 80's, and 90's :)

Aaaaaaaaaand unless somehow we can revert the topic back to UNCW or UNCW vs Hofstra game night... time to let this one die.
