A G5 player was awarded the Heisman Trophy
https://www.freep.com/story/sports/nfl/l...um=twitter

So before San Diego State’s bowl game, Aztecs coach Rocky Long decided to surprise Penny with his own award.

“Our head coach told us to meet in the auditorium, and then he just played a Heisman presentation and then gave the definition of a Heisman, which said it awarded the best player in college football," Penny said Tuesday. "So all my teammates voted and they recognized that I was the best college football player. So I got that and it was amazing because of all the guys that supported me.”

Mmmmm.......ok. Look for 9-3. 10-2 would be great. I mean, five offensive lineman returning will help, as will most of the two deep on defense. But hey, whatever.

The coaches quietly think Juwan Washington will run for 2,000 yards next year. I don't believe it, but they know more than I do.

every year your new rb is better than your last lol

at fresno, boise and stanford you'll be underdogs in all...and arizona state returns a TON, if herm edwards is any good, id add them to the L list...sdsu also is upset by a bad team yearly ..

7-5 to 8-4

Clearly, you didn't read what I said. I think Washington is a good #2, and a very good Kick Returner. I don't buy it, but the coaches say something different when speaking to people close to the program. I am not close to the program, so I am just going off what people tell me.

I am surprised you think we are going to lose to ASU. We dominated that game, and it was not that close as the score. O-line should have their way again. We'll see.

I am glad you agree that Boise and Fresno will be tough on the road. I think SDSU is the third best team in the MW next year. It will tough. Hence 9-3.

Now that I think of it, SDSU has had a better RB each year than the last, for about 8 years now.

Ronnie Hillman 2010-2011
Adam Muema 2011-2013
Donnell Pumphrey 2013-2016
Rashaad Penny 2014-2017

Each guy was progressively better than the last. Pretty crazy when you think about it.

Now, I DO NOT think that that trend will continue in 2018.

ASU is a talent rich team, they are deep in all american players..if the new coach is any good a turnaround would be quick

and you won by 10, 7 of which was a kick return td from penny who is gone, and 2 other tds by penny, it wasnt just walking through huge gaps, 1 was a td catch where he made a defender miss....the other 3 defenders were atleast able to touch him on 80yd td run.....

an advanced stat i noticed when bryce love annnoinced he was coming back as bryce love was #2in the nation in breaking tackles ...penny was #1 that isnt plug and play or about your Oline

itll be interesting..your team can pass and just replaced the entirety of your offense...
i dont see you beating Fresno Boise or Stanford..i dont even think those games will be close...asu is toss up till we see them under edwards...and i guarantee you sdsu will be upset by atleast 1 team, i feel comfortable saying 8-4. 7-5 depending on how asu looks

You lost me at "I don't think those games will be close." All those games are "toss ups," as we match up well against Stanford. I do think we'll lose to Stanford, and to either Boise or Fresno, but probably not both. Then, there will be a game we lose against a team that is surprisingly good, like Fresno was last year.

While I agree with you that there are losses that nobody sees coming, there were no bad losses last year. The teams we lost to combined for a 31 wins last year.

But hey, three years with double digit wins, and a chance to do it in a fourth. Pretty crazy. Only other programs that can claim that are Bama, Clemson, and Oklahoma. Good company. Hopefully we can keep it up.

There must be some confusion, this is the aac forum.

I just awarded myself a Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Unfortunately it came with no money and no trophy and no trip to Sweden but I’m proud anyway.

You didn't watch the game. We gashed them all night, and had two long TD passes called back. One would have put us up three scores early. Also, they were aided by two Offensive PI calls, by the same crew that called it the week before in the CU vs CSU game. It didn't matter in the end, but the game was a blowout.

Now,I am glad you agree that ASU is good though. I will hold you to that after we win, when I assume you will tell me ASU actually sucked all along.

Except according to NCAA rules UCF is a national champion. UCF didn't make the rules and the rules aren't new. UCF competed for and won a national championship the way every other NCAA football team has.

But you know that already don't you? Which is why you came here and posted some mountain west/sdsu propaganda.

You're probably permanently gone now, can't say I'm sad. You have added nothing here this entire time and have gone out of your way to cause issues with biased b.s. at best and unentertaining trolling at worst.

Can we move this thread to the MW or G4 board? It does not belong on here.

toss up what???

you just lost a guy who accounted for 90% of your offense...
you were lucky to playing stanford early last year, you caught them when they were still figuring out playing Chryst as qb...they were a different team K.J. Costello..

next year itll be opposite, they should be experience game 1, and they'll be looking to make an example out of you for what happened last year at home....it wont be close

and fresno and boise BLEW you out last year AT sdsu....why would it be any different at home for them, when they are projected better and sdsu projected worse...

MW will be strong next year. Boise is rated 14 in early polls, and even FAU is ranked 21. No AAC teams ranked.
