Need to go 3/2 zone and cheat towards Burchfield. He's killing us.

It’s a shame, we played well enough to win we just couldn’t get over the hump. Those are the games we have to win at home to take the next step and get back in it

Fornes was over helping on D and every time he did his guy hit a 3. I'm not sure why Coach didn't catch that!

RE: W&M
Pierce was really the difference in this game. His ability to make the right pass or hit a shot from the FT line against our zone hurt us badly. I also thought we could have gone to Cacok more often late in the game. They had no answer for him.

A few positives.

1. McGrath doing a great job of switching defenses to confuse the Tribe and make them work to score. I would like to see us work on a 3-2 zone instead of just a 2-3. It's a better zone in stopping the 3 and stopping the jumper in the lane.
2. He is playing Gary at the 2 instead of PG where he is better suited and can hit the 3.

Overall, there is nothing to be disappointed about in this game. We missed some big FT's at the end that could have turned this our way, and Cacok had a great steal followed by a panicked bad pass for the TO that cost us. But, I like our overall game plan and the combinations we are putting on the floor now. A solid dose of zone and man, mixed in with a press every once in awhile is disrupting the flow of our opponents.

Watching us play, Elmore could have made a huge difference on this team. When Cacok and Bryan are in together, their offensive range is in the paint with little ability to score facing up or from distance. You can see that difference in watching Pierce and what he brings on offense as a big man.

There were also a couple of bad/missed calls at the end. Pierce plowed over Cacok and knocked him down on what should have been an offensive foul, but ended up with a foul on Cacok as he tried to stop Knight. On the next play, Cacok stuffed Cohn and the drive and was called for a foul, giving the Tribe a 4 point lead with 2:37 left.

One other note. Fornes shoots the three way better from the corners than the top of the key.

We have proven we can beat the top teams in this league. Would have over to have this one but it is what it is. We are on an upward trajectory and I wouldn't wanna play us on QF Sunday in Charleston

They did go 3/2,good for coach. He's making the right calls. And, he's subbing well too. Future should be okay!

Key event in the game, down the stretch. We had a shot to tie the game. With the shot, a W&M player grabbed the net and yanked it with the ball on the rim. Should have been goal tending. Instead there was no call. They pushed the ball down court and hit a three. So instead of the game being tied, they were up five.
