I've had four kids, I would have had more if I had married younger... I hope each of my kids has four or five kids...

My two parents had seven kids and a total of 20 grand kids (and so far two great grand kids)

It aint us thats the problem. Population growth in most of the western world is currently below replacement. In fact, if not for immigration and the larger families that tend to be a first generation immigrant trait---the growth rate for the entire western world would be in clear decline. Despite immigration, much of Europe now has a birth rate that is insufficient to replace the current population. While it may be good for the planet, a falling population means we are very likely to see a long term chronic period of economic contraction in Europe. The demographics basically make it unavoidable.

Population Control in 3rd world nations would be a good thing but not in the U.S or Europe. Future wars are going to be affected by lower Population growth in both.

There was a thread on here talking about how Population growth or lack of for countries like Russia and how it will hurt them in the future. It also talked about the rising birth rate of Muslims and how that will/might play out in the future
