I fully expect us to go to Buffalo and win. Am I insane, nope, it will just add more agony to the rest of the season when we lose blowouts to teams like Toledo. The team has played poorly, and will look to rebound and come out energized. I'm calling a victory against Buffalo, followed by a giant let down at Miami.

Nah, Buffalo by a lot. Then we beat Miami to keep us right around mediocrity.

RE: Game Week: @UB and @Miami
My guess is that we'll beat say two teams we shouldn't and lost (or will lose) to some teams we shouldn't.

It's called sports and not math where 10 will always be greater than 5.

Who will we upset? I don't have a clue. If I did I'd go to Vegas, put down 1,000 bucks at say 3, 4 or 5:1 and have two hours of bliss.

And then come home and be in financial heaven making a deposit to my bank account...

Steve, do you think Murphy has done a good job?

Steve,

As usual, you're on the money: We've already lost to teams we should not have lost to (N. Florida, BG, Akron, Ohio), so now it's our turn to beat UB, Toledo, WMU, right?.......

After a few more losses, you write about how no team in the MAC will want to face us in the tournament.

Based on your prediction that we finish 13-5, we only need to finish 11-1 from here on out.

We may pull an upset (or two), but this team doesn't have the killer instinct against bad teams like last year's bunch did. We disappointed last year, but we annhilated the teams that were worse than us. This year, we squeaked by an inferior CMU team at home, lost in OT to BG, needed a late run to pull away from Akron, and then lost to an awful Ohio team.

We will need a lot of work to turn it around. Our guards aren't good enough to have the offense run through them. Thompson and Minnie should put up way more shots than Jackson does, but that won't happen most nights. Something has to change or we are looking at a basement finish and Murphy will be looking for a new job.

Close but I predicted 12 - 6. We just need to go 10 - 2...

UB then becomes a must win game... 03-lmfao

I picked 12-6 before the season, then reaffirmed it after the non-conference. I was just about to give up on it. Then you put it as all they need to do is finish 10-2, and inchecked their schedule. I think it is still possible. Not likely, but definitely possible.

RE: Game Week: @UB and @Miami
My prediction remainder of season (I am going with emypd for this week).

At Buffalo -> win (big upset, but due for both teams)
At Miami -> loss (EMU post upset letdown, Miami better this year)
Vs WMU -> win
Vs Ball State -> win
At Kent St -> loss (tough place to win)
At Bowling Green -> win (revenge)
Vs Miami -> win
At CMU -> win (keno loses job)
Vs Toledo -> win
Vs N Illinois -> win
At WMU -> win (EMU is due)
At Toledo -> loss

EMU to finish 9-3 for the last 2/3 of the MAC season to go 11-7. I game less then my original prediction. But we will see as they actuLly play these games out.

I loved this part. We may only field .500 teams in revenue sports but we are pretty good at getting rival coaches fired.

Ramy, and I'll add 02-13-banana

11 - 7 after a 2 - 4 is as good as 12 - 6 with say a 3 - 1 start.

That logic might escape some but a strong second half is better than a strong first half as in all sports tourneys/playoffs are played at the end of the year not mid-season.

No one will remember what our record is after the first 9 games of the MAC season.

We probably lose Saturday too. Miami is 4-3 with wins over Ball St and BGSU, who beat us.

We only need to go 10-1 the rest of the way to match your prediction? Can we do it?

Disagree 79, don't penalize the most talented players in the MAC due to being coached by perhaps the worst coach in the MAC.

I disagree with you are we playing to win or pad someone's stat sheet for the NBA? There has been a lack of hustle on some starters part and c'mon 62 percent on Fts is this high school? And being down by 26 out of the gate? What kinda talent is that? Piss poor talent Murphy may be the coach but has not the one on the floor playing the players are at fault as well it isn't all Murphy time to build the program forth future
