Yeah but they’ll lose a lot so the admin might be forced to make a move.

I hope it is not serious. It is terrible for him but worse for the team.

RE: Martin Injury
I always scream about the NCAA and NBA needing to cleanup all of these guys sliding under offensive player because of how dangerous it is. That defender was not making any sort of true defensive play doing that in the open court. Way too many charges are called and that play should be a block 100% of the time.

And we don’t have a backup and we don’t have a pg signed in the class yet again.

Per Mark G Tweet:

“Tubby Smith said Jeremiah Martin has a hip pointer but trainers think it's "just a bruise."

I thought the cleared that up a couple of years ago. Didn't they say a charge would be harder to call since 90% are blocks anyway? You wouldn't know that from the game tonight.

RE: Martin Injury
Looked like he bruised his hip.

Next game is a week from now.

I would assume no biggie.

He tried for the contact and went horizontal.

And he was up there.

Landed on his hands and his right hip.

Doubt there is a fracture though.

RE: Martin Injury
The refs tonight are responsible for his injury, imo. To make it worse, they showed they are incapable of calling the charge/block properly. They had been rewarding tulsa all night long with charge calls when they were blocking fouls, so tulsa was encouraged to do it all night long. In this play, the tulsa defender was still moving and moved under an offensive player in the air which is extremely dangerous and exactly why martin got hurt. If the refs had made the proper calls during the game, this probably wouldn't even happen because tulsa would be more wary of trying to take charges every time.

But very consistent. They were making pretty bad calls on both sides which made it even.

The refs were bad we were bad. I'm not sure if the chicken or the egg came first.

Unfortunately the bad call on Martin cost us an injury and any chance at winning.

It was a horrible call, but Martin wouldve been injured even if the right call had been made.

They blew the call both ways tonight so don't go getting pissed over the officiating. Lucky we didn't get a flagrant 1 right at half time.

If your boy Opie was still coaching here you wouldn’t make this post. You’re a hypocrite, big time.

There is treatment for a hip pointer that would enable him to play but some guys aren’t real receptive to it. Right, tom82? 03-shhhh

If it's a hip pointer rather than a fracture, I'll bet $100 right now Martin plays through the pain next game. It's an important game, we're coming off a loss, and Martin is one tough, fearless player.
