Btw: It is pretty rare a college basketball team loses a road game to a team a little worse than them.....

Finally. Glad we’re on the same page.

yes thanks to you I know what is up, before you set me straight, I thought we were headed to the sweet 16 or better 03-lmfao07-coffee3

I wish I'd have listened before I enjoyed winning 4 in a row.

That’s just bad. Why didn’t we try getting the ball into Parks?
We did and that pass ended in a turnover.

I enjoyed winning 4 in a row also and rarely think about who we are during the games, while I'm watching. Before and after though...totally different story.

Nobody bought in. We beat 4 lousy teams - 3 at home, 1 on the road at the buzzer. Now, they have lost to one of those 4 lousy teams on the road. Hopefully, they can find the $$ to make a change after the season. Then again, maybe Rudd, Bowen, Laurie, Brad Martin, etc enjoy watching a 16-18 win team play in front of 2500 fans as long as Tubby is "doing it the right way".

The attendance problem has many causes (eg, cost, HD TV, schedule, winning, marketing and PR, etc.) and it is not isolated to the Tigers (although more pronounced with us). For example, I saw an ad by KY selling single game tickets.

Tubby can only positively impact attendance through actions under his control; namely winning and PR. Unfortunately, he has been deficient to date but he is not solely to blame.

This team is 1 piece away from being a good offensive team...

They need a PG who can shoot and penetrate (Harris Maybe)...That alleviates the congestion in the paint and gives you a second option to break down the defense.

With the emergence of Parks in the post and Davenport being a good option as a stretch 4 we would only be lacking a 3 who could give us a few points but that is not a requirement. The fact we don't have shooters pretty much takes Parks out of the game.

Isnt it just amazing how you can watch most any college game, and teams will have 1 or 2 guys who are anywhere from solid to lights out 3 point shooters? And yet, we have nothing. Its also amazing that Jeremiah is a hometown PG having some success under Tubby and this staff still missed on Lomax, and looks like they're gonna miss on Harris. How bad at recruiting are these guys???!!!!!!

We need a point guard and another big in the worst way. I can live with Rivers and Nickleberry at the 3. I bet anything that Davenport would be dynamite at the 3 if you had another 4 or 5 that could play.

You can't expect to be awesome at every position.

I am not sure we are dead with Harris but the fact Harris and Lomax are not dying to play here is concerning.

And you are right about 3 point shooters. You have to go get a guy even if that is all he can do...We need someone who we can rely on to hit a corner 3 when open...I think Johnson missed 3 open 3's this past game.

That is his role right now to knock down outside shots.

We have 0 spot up\catch and shoot shooters...Unless you want to count Davenport...Martin is a rhythm off the dribble shooter.

I don’t know much about basketball when it comes to getting into how line ups are set and why can this 5 play the 4 but this one can’t etc . . . I know the obvious, smaller guy Who has a good handle is your PG, big tall unathletic kid is your C etc etc (obviously dumbing that sounds a lot) so excuse me if I’m off here but would a line up of Martin/Crawford/Davenport/Lawson/Parks look good? I’m unsure if Lawson could play the 4, that’s what I mean when I say I dunno how you differentiate if ab 5 can play the 4 or vice versa. If that makes any sense.

Zbo says yes, Lawson could play the 4.

A return to relevancy will require a major upgrade in talent and it is not in the pipeline. In fact, we cannot rule out drain of existing talent due to transfers. It is a reasonable possibility we could be even worse next season.

I think it just depends on who stays/ who goes. If Martin returns and we only lose Rivers, then I think they'll be pretty decent. You'll have a senior filled roster playing their 2nd season together. Once that group leaves, its gonna be ugggggggly for a few years. If Martin and some others leave, its starts the ugly stretch sooner. We'll see how much Rudd and Bowen are really committed to their "having a top 10 program" line they spout by their actions or if it was a bunch of hot air. They already F'ed over Memphis fans a couple years ago begging people to come to the last few games to hit 6,000 and then turning around keeping Opie. Hard to trust anything they say about this program.
