They won a (home) game when they didn't shoot well. That is a good thing.

With the team heading up to western Tuesday, does anyone know the last time we won up there? I can’t remember.

I guess I do recall that now. Guessing that’s about our only win up there in the past decade. Been a terrible venue for Toledo teams.

kalamazoo is just far enough to be the perfect 3 hour ride home to relive the game after a win

and just too far to sit with the taste of defeat on the drive home too

i've disagreed with bcunn on some threads but will quote you here

"Last season—heck, earlier this season—we would have wilted and lost this one."

agreed, we had are usual quick coach k start. kent st didn't fluster. they played ball and worked their game and fought back. we could have gone in down at the half after they gradually took our 15-3 lead to even, but we closed by making plays. in the second half kent started to get control till about 7 minutes to go. it felt like one of those game where we would wither and lose a close one as has been the tendency the past 2 1/2 seasons. but everyone played well. we started moving again on offense. when a play didn't work we quickly reset and ran something else. the defense is basic but we were consistent. kent got a few open jumpers and tough layups but they had to work for most of em.

can someone post video of the fletcher dunk. gotta be a top 10 rockets best dunks nominee. it was the ultimate dunk. a shot through the defense that used force height and fearlessness to improve the percentage of being successful. it was hard. it was in stride. and it came just when the team needed it and led to the victory. classic dunk.

It was right up there with Sanford’s of a couple games ago, although I didn’t see that one live. Fletcher’s had a slightly higher degree of difficulty. Not sure what Kent’s problem was but they were pushing for a T all night and finally got one that probably was as big a factor in their loss as anything. Great to see the Rockets win when things weren’t going well. 5 TOs and 18 assists will win a lot of games even when your shooting is off. Great win for the Rockets. Two more wins next week and we’ll have just missed running the table in the East.
I looked and could not find Sanford's dunk? Where did you see it?

Good question. Against OU, I think since it was a road game but I can’t find it either. He just kind of blew by a defender on the right side and one handed it. Maybe someone can tell us if I’m crazy and recalling one from earlier in the year. I’m the guy who remembered seeing Faasen’s fake punt at the GB when it happened at CMU. 03-wink

Same here! I remember quite a few aggressive trash talking sessions between my group and western fans

Tre'Shaun named MAC West Co-Player of the Week for his games against Ohio and Kent State.
