I know Naama was awesome but she wasn’t a top tier scorer. Cullop is great at a lot of things but until this program lands a dynamic player like a Crystal Bradford or a Rachel Tecca or a Kim Knuth if I might add, I think we’ll be looking at a lot of 20 win seasons and maybe 1-2 more tourney appearances but probably eliminated in the first round. Cullop knows how to win a lot of games but to get the program on that one magical run into an NCAA Sweet 16 or higher appearance, she’s going to need a home run recruit.

And there is a home town point guard who is rated #7 nationally for the 2019 class. She could represent a major step forward but is obviously being recruited by everyone except Connecticut.

Who ‘s that?

It would have to be Zia Cook, she can take over and control a game.

It is Zia Cook from Rogers High School. She played on the USA U16 Team this past summer. Is averaging 20 pts/game as a junior point guard this year. Is rated the #1 point guard and #7 recruit nationally.

This team excels when it shoots and flounders when it doesn't. For the most part, they play solid defense.
Poor shooting and still committing way too many turn overs negated any chance of beating Kent State. So frustrating to watch when they perform way below their potential. Bench players are also an important part of success or lack there of.

Unfortunately there's no chance whatsoever that Cooke is coming to Toledo. Like most players, she wants to play at the highest level that's available to her, and that's not us.

You are most probably right but its nice to imagine it possible until it isn't.
