BB, you act like it's the eff word. But at least you admit your odd fixation, similar to your odd fixation on criticizing our coach every day.

And yes, obviously I have told my children to obey me. The bible says "Children, obey your mother and father, for this is right." Does that offend you?

And you seem to very easily offended. The anti-Tubby cabal just will never be happy. '83 predictably jumped in on Post 6 to passive aggressively attack our coach. Don't worry, we are going to lose more games this season. Then you can post again about how lazy and senile and overpaid Tubby is - you know, your idea of fun.

As usual, people who want to attack other Memphis fans don't actually use facts. Do you want to also include the positives I have posted? How about give us a list of the people who should obey YOU? I notice how you left out those who should be obedient to you. Interesting that you are too afraid to give us a list of the people you think should be obedient to you.

Hey dumb dumb, I answered your imbecilic, leading question. Read again. And then get a tissue, snowflake. You seem unhinged.
Nice attack. Your intelligence is shining through.

I tied half of my brain behind my back to make it a fair fight for you. Wasn't enough, snowflake.

I personally don’t use the word. I do say to my sons that they should honor their mom and dad and thus if you’re honoring your parents you will do as they say. Maybe it’s an old school word from tubby’s past.

I can think of a couple we need to be obedient to though....God and His Son Jesus. Which often times it is difficult to always be obedient to Him. But with that said, one day we will all bow down to Him. At that point nobody has a choice.

When I coached football I expected players to obey the rules I put forth and do all I asked for us to be successful on the field

So on the field hell yeah I expected obedience

He is expecting them to obey his rules on the court... Not sure why there is an issue here. He didn't say anything about their personal lives

You are just looking for something to ***** about

A lack of obedience is what’s wrong with our country

Kids at the age of 5 tell their parents what to do

When I was 5 I got a spanking for disobeying

Young people should respect their elders and value their wisdom.

I realize my thoughts are Anti-American these days but there has to be a pecking order

Young people need guidance and discipline

RE: Obedient!
You know, I've only spoken up when I thought I was really getting into the thread and liked the banter. I like to be a sponge. Take it all in. Sit back, see what develops. Maybe i'll pick up some pretty cool Tiger input. I never come on here and infuse an inflammatory comment just to incite a riot,[although I can see the fun in it sometimes], but this obsession with this one WORD in the english language is beyond anything that needs to be discussed on this board. My opinion? That should have been discussed with his therapist, not vented on this board. Do I LOVE Tubby Smith? No. He needs a recruiter like Josh needed an X and O guy. Thats not the point. Now I'll show my ignorance. I don't know where the heck Coach is from but who are you to judge his vernacular when you can drive less than 40 miles and hear a completely different dialect in the Memphis Metro area? Obedience is what is supposed to be taught. By your parents, and reinforced by your teachers. Someone needs to look a little deeper. GoTigers

Obedient is just such a strong word to me. I wouldn't even use that word towards my children or grandchildren.

Figures.

Yep. I am not a slave-owner. So tell us, is your wife obedient to you? I am sure you expect her to be obedient.

I figured I would wait to respond in order to let you and others have some time to reflect on your response as well as this entire thread. Thankfully, there are some intelligent people who still post here.

But since you brought her into this discussion....My wife and I raised our sons to be obedient and respectful of their elders, teachers and authority. We were blessed to now have two successful young men who not only know and respect the law of this land, they are also licensed to practice it in the State in Tennessee.

I sincerely hope you are as fortunate and blessed as we were and still are.
