Joe, seriously, you don’t think that the goal should be a national championship? I didn’t realize that just making the tournament was good enough now. Why did we get rid of Pastner if just making the tournament is now enough?

Do you remember Cal's first 4 years here?
Tubby, for some bizarre reason, has had to prove himself to be a capable coach, and he has so with this team. His recruiting will continually improve because he has shown he can make kids better.

In my opinion, the Keelon Lawson situation set Tubby back 2-3 years.

Man, I agree with you on this one. Memphis isn’t the hot property like it used to be. How many players transferred? How many talked about often? The word got out, that’s why we had to pay a bribe to get the Lawson’s here. Look at the local kids we started missing on.

Locally, 2018 is a down year if you are hooked on rankings. At 120, Tyler Harris is the top recruit. I still think we sign him. Add one more solid player (Moss, another good player, or a top JUCO), and we are starting to see a solid team for 2018-19.

I still think we lose a player. Not sure who, but I think we’ll have 3 more slots next year. Just hope it’s not Martin. I don’t think it will be.

When we start winning and fans show up, recruits will too. Just gotta keep winning.

We didn't actually have to "pay a bribe to get the Lawsons here". I am sure you remember the situation, KJ had already commited without any strings attached. It was other schools that started offering Keelon AC jobs. At that point it was pretty basic, if Keelon took an AC job, then his sons would follow him. What son would not follow their father, who is basketball coach? It isn't like he was out pimping his kids like so many idiots want to accuse him of doing.
Yes he was. He just had to wait for the pretty one to get on the block so he could make the most of it.

Yeah. Saul played 20 years ago and he's still following his daddy around.
