I know Tech has had a rough start in league play, but I think this was a nice win.

They were expected to be a top 4 team. They are clearly not but it beats the heck out of a loss.

We beat them by more than WKU did. And WKU had trouble at Charlotte tonight.

So we stand a chance Thursday if we play well, shoot well and defend well.

WKU didn't shoot 3s well tonight. 3 of 14. Charlotte was even worse. 2 of 15.

Liked the Renaissance Faire dancers, liked the new band director - animated, in the game and kinda hot - and liked the alumni cheerleaders (one even did the Sparkplug Dance, and a bald guy who looked older than me hefted a cheerleader single-handed). Way better than the kids playing basketball (what the hell was that, anyway?) or the doofus DJ-wannabe dude.

Need to bring the RF dancers back for more.

I like both of those. I enjoy watching little kids play sports as half-time shows. I is always one of my favorites and these dancers were pretty cool too.

My own sons had a bad, cartoon-level daddyball experience that turned them off team sports and I guess that sours me on it.

But I really liked the dancers (didn't catch their real name); the lead chick was just outstanding. I hope they're back.

they were from the Dale Serrano School of Dance. They did a routine to dongs from Phantom of the Opera, thus the costumes. not Renaissance..

i haven't been to a game in several years, so i shouldnt throw stones...but when people were complaining about ticket prices, i assumed that we were talking far more than $11.83.

The Phanton of the Opera had dongs? Never seen it before so I am asking.

Home means a ton in close games.

Attendance was listed at 3743. That is usually overstated so I bet the there was not 3000 there. Which is pitiful.
But, by god, they wont come down on the ticket prices or do away with the order fees.
Too many peoples pensions depend on it. They tell you our money goes to the players. They lie. Some of it does. Most does not.
$10 tickets are available for purchase...Go Blazers!

Funny thing happened when I tried to buy a pick six for $10 each before todays game. They were $71 with an "order charge". So $10 becomes $11.83 when you buy 6.

Are you saying you can buy tickets at the door for $10? If so, why would they penalize someone buying 6 of them?

Still a good deal...Go Blazers!

Well, the order charge kept me from buying a cheap season ticket and a 6 pack.

And don't forget, those seats are nosebleed, at least half way up in the upper level.

Back when we played Cincy, Memphis and Louisville every year, it might have been worth it.

Now we play far too many bad teams.

I go to the games to watch my team. Go Blazers!

I go to watch UAB. I’ll be damned if $1.83 keeps me from watching my team.
