And the one that pronounced the word phonectically correct. Too many people don't pronounce the 'o'.

One of my favorites as well. RIP. He was honored at this year's Rose Bowl. I guess they knew his health was bad.

I was thinking the same thing Stever! I know it's a minority opinion, but I liked Musberger.

Keith Jackson deserved his accolades and he made my viewing a pleasure for decades. He was missed already with his retirement. God's peace!

Keith Jackson predates my college football viewing time.

When I think of him I think of Gatorade commercials but still, I can appreciate the greats and his loss is felt.

RIP

Yep, he actually talked about the game and the players you were watching, not what was up next at the network, what political stance on the issue du jour you needed to take, and he actually called every play without talking over them for the aforementioned. But then the cameras never missed a play either because they weren't showing some celeb's interview in the stands or cutting away to show you something from the game you deliberately weren't watching.

I cheered when he got fired. And was so disappointed when ABC hired him to do college football. He was the only one who could get me to change the channel. Total idiot. Didn't know what he was talking about. Couldn't get the rules straight. Came to game unprepared. Probably embarrassing to his co-hosts. Jackson, on the other hand, knew what he was doing and when to do it and when to just let the picture do the talking.
