Or doesn't want to.

The Huskies likely lose by over 20pts at Buffalo. Hopefully they can win a close one at Akron next Saturday.

Plus our facility is great - convenient parking, spacious, good concessions, chairback, comfortable. Band normally does a good job with chants too.

The band hasn't been there since before Christmas break. The Silverettes and some cheerleaders, yes, but not the band. Hopefully, they'll come back before February.

You must have had rose-colored lenses surgically implanted.
We're all Huskie fans and would love to have NIU men's basketball succeed, but statements like this are strictly based on home team bias.

57, what don’t you like about the convo and what MAC arena is better? We may not get large crowds but the convo is at a high major, power conference level as far as arenas go. The video board fixed or replaced and it would be outstanding. If the Huskies magically were becoming a member of the big12, the convo would be just fine with a new video board the way it is!

Ohio, Ball State and Toledo would be the others in the running?

Agree that NIU probably stacks up as best.

MBB vs EMU
Attendance was listed at 1,144 yesterday. I think they brought in the EMU football attendance counter to do the counting. The upper bowl was completely closed, and there was no one sitting behind the baskets. And there were lots of open seats in what was left.

The lighting at the convo is awful. I know several people who wont go to games because of the darkness.....If you want to see the best arena in the MAC, go to Ball State. Superb lighting a[/align]nd seating, and in the heart of their campus.

Fix the lighting at the convo so it is clear, and it is one of the better or best venues in the MAC. People have told AD's to fix the lighting, and your crowds will increase somewhat....

This has been a problem since the Convo opened. The lighting is fine. It's just that they turn it down over the stands to create a theater-like effect. IMO, it doesn't work, however.

RE: MBB vs EMU
Half of Savage Hall (UT's stadium) is nice and was renovated in the last 5-10 years. the other side has some very far away seats. the lower bowl can be pretty loud when full. One aspect that I like about Savage is the club/restaurant above the stands at one end of the court with a large viewing area. Bg's stadium is new within the last 7 years or so and is relatively small (holds about 4500) but has no bad seats.

CMU's arena is not that bad either, WMU is old.
