Canton is farthest city from a vacation city you could think of. It doesn't matter what is there. Unless you're a fan of crippling depression.

Mobile, Alabama, isn't exactly heaven on Earth. It's a nice trip, but its hardly a tourism mecca. The big difference is weather.

I've long wished the MAC could find a use for the stadium in Canton. Unfortunately, the weather in late December is pretty rough outdoors. A neutral site game of some kind earlier in the season might make more sense.

Good idea about the early season neutral site game.

Maybe something like Pitt and Ohio.

we're actually scheduled to play Pitt in our second game of 2019. but it's in Pittsburgh, not at a neutral site.

Pass.

Good idea. Pitt’s pass defense gave up 36 more yards per game than their offense got passing. But don’t abandon the run- they didn’t stop that very well either.

If you like the idea of it so much why don't you have Toledo go play Pitt in Canton.

Pitt vs. TOL in Canton would be a good idea.

How about Bowling Green-Buffalo?

A few years back, BGSU played its home game with Buffalo in the Columbus Crew stadium over the Thanksgiving break, when students were away from campus. I'm not sure how well that went, but if there was any sentiment to try this again, maybe Canton would be the place to try it.

Toledo is not going to give home games against a school that has already played at the Glass Bowl when they were loaded.
