Georgia Southern preview
They are 11-5 and 2-1 in conference. Their biggest win was over Wake Forest, and also have Missouri State and at George Mason. They went on a 5-game winning streak to start he season. They should start 6-8, 6-5, 6-4 across the front line, so they play smallball. But they have 7-1 and four 6-8 players on the roster. This ought to be one of the better teams in the Belt, maybe the best.

They have four players in double figures, led by Tookie Brown with 18.4 ppg. Brown is an offensive dynamo. He is shooting 50% from the arc, but also 56% overall, so he is not a one-dimensional player. Jake Allsmiller is their gunner, shooting 38.6% on by far the most attempts on the team. Glenn Montae is their Mr. Inside, shooting 56% with 8.7 rpg. Their perimeter defense is impressive, holding opponents to under 30% from the arc. Even though their lineup is not large, they are plus-3 on the boards.

Sagarin picks GaSo by 15.
RealtimeRPI has them by 21.

Unfortunately, I thought if we could sneak a win on this road trip, it would have been last night. GaSou is very good and may win the league.

I hope we play well, because the season is a long way from over and we need to keep moving in the right direction. However, I am not hopeful about this one. This is the third year together for Hughes, Smith and Brown, and they may be the best trio in the league.

RE: Georgia Southern preview
this one has the potential to get ugly if they don't play really tight D. They need a win to get some momentum but I'm not at all sure this one will go our way
