According to very well connected sources on our board, Brown actually had several P5s (BIG XII) contact him to recruit him but he literally wouldn't take their calls, wouldn't accept their offers, he was so dead set on App that he pissed off other programs. They reportedly would ask him to put his father on the line and he told them the same stuff.

Offers. Don't. Mean. ****.

So what's the GS QB situation going into next year? Does a new coach change anything?

That would be the best route anyways imho, we have a kid who already knows the team and adds a little more athleticism then Lamb, save brown for a year so he can become fully integrated

The good news is that Brown will be enrolled and on campus this month so he can benefit from spring practice. I would expect a redshirt but Satt has shown that he will play the best available option in most cases.
He has, I just want to take it slower, dont want to see Brown do what Bryant did and just put the whole team on his back too much, get injured and never be the same

Are you talking about Kam Bryant ? It was trying to remember who was the quarterback that first year when Taylor took over . Was this him? Someone started a few games that year then Taylor took over.

Jackson was the starter at the beginning of the 2013 season. He had a awful game at Montana and was replaced by Bryant. Bryant took over and finished the year strong. 2014 was basically a repeat of '13 with Bryant starting, but falling on his face and was replaced by Lamb the 3rd game of the season.

We didn’t graduate our QB, but I think Jordan Davis will be transferring. Which leaves us with Levi Lewis, sho is a great athlete, but not a good QB.

We have Werts returning, of course. LeBaron Anthony returns. Kado Brown would return, I suppose. So all QB's who took snaps for us in 2017 return, with the exception of the handful of snaps taken out of the wildcat by LA Ramsby.

Our redshirt QB, Jaalon Frazier, has some impressed with his potential. I suspect that Lunsford will "tag" Werts as the incumbent yet declare it a wide open race, and unlike Summers he won't predetermine the outcome.

There has been some speculation that Shuman might come back to the team but I think with his high ceiling in baseball that likelihood is low. But in my opinion he'd be a welcome addition.

I like what I see from Justin Tomlin (2018 signee) and hope to see at least another 1 or 2 QB/ATH's signed, but don't expect either to have an impact on 2018.

I think we'll be fine at QB. Entering 2017 I was concerned about how accurate a passer Werts would be, but once our o-line settled down some and post-Summers our play calling changed slightly, I thought he was fine. Early on he struggled and I attributed that to a combination of adjusting to collegiate speed and a completely porous front.
