You can deny the influence but at the end of the day they may take your kid like mine and then you want mind tweets like this so much anymore. He approached me and thanked me for coming. I said don’t thank me I’ve never been able to control my rebellious child. She’s a GS Eagle like her dad. He then asked me to point to her and said she does look a lot smarter than you. I then said your a lot smarter than I thought you were. He then gave us a tour of his office and gave my daughter some one on one time. I may have been my own worst enemy. His quick response I must admit was pretty funny.

I hate to break it to you man, but you did that to yourself. Your own quick wit got her one on one time with a dean. A lot of kids don't get that on visits.

One of the reasons I ended up at AState despite a lot of family push to go to Fayetteville was a dean who took a lot of time to personally recruit me. I doubt I would ever have actually gone to UPig mind you, but it certainly saved me from ending up at UALR or Memphis. The way I look at it, he saved me from making a horrible mistake!

Given the number of vehicles in Metro Atlanta I see with both GS and UGA decals, I suspect the solely GS fan may not even be a majority of the GS fan base. The same is obviously true for GSU. Most Georgians supporting GS, GSU, KSU, Mercer, and most anybody else are also UGA or GT fans to one degree or another. It is the reality of our collective non-P5 existence. Of course some of our SBC brethren are fortunate to be in states without football traditions of any consequence.

I think you need to define "fan" though. Is a person who attends 2 Georgia Southern games a year and hopes they do well and watches provided they aren't playing opposite Georgia really a Georgia Southern "Fan"

We have a lot of casual fans here in Arkansas that support both schools, or at least work on some mythical belief that everyone in the state should support each other. However 95 percent of those fans attend no more than a couple games of ours a year. They often don't donate, and don't buy a ton of tickets.

I don't really consider that group a "fan" of the school.
