In terms of national notoriety:
1. Beating Florida in 2013
2. GoDaddy Bowl in 2015
3. 1989 National Title - “Erk’s last game” and first team to go 15-0 in one season
4. 1985 National Title - Georgia Southern has only had an official NCAA team for 1 year
5. 1999 National Title - Adrian Peterson’s legacy named simply “The Run”
Honorable Mention: UGA 2015 - When the Rosebowl went into OT, they mentioned that the last time Georgia went to overtime with a team was in 2015 against Georgia Southern. Pretty cool little shoutout during the height of a game that was probably being watched by 80M people.

We do rank our win over that 2012 ULM team as one of our bigger wins. That was a crazy atmosphere that game. 30,000 appreciative fans who wanted nothing more than to smash Kolton Browning's head in...which we did, over and over again.

That win was the starting point for a run that included a National Championship 3 peat and win vs #5 Michigan. If we don't beat Furman that day, that run does not exist. If we don't win that game, we might still be in the SoCon. KBS might still look the same today as it did that day.
This was the beginning of it all in my opinion.

That was my last game for six years because I got married and moved to Indiana for the next five years starting that following summer. I hate that I missed all those games during the championship & Armanti years.
Side note: would any longtime App fans put any of the Wake Forest wins, or maybe the 1975 (or was it in '76?) win over South Carolina, over some which have already been listed?
2005 playoff win over GS (down 19 with 17 minutes left, won by 11)
2008 win over Sam Houston - epic game (IMHO)
2012 win over UH - first FBS win
1981 and 1982 D2 National Championship games (I wasn't around TXST then but consider those big)

Yep, good call with that game. A freshman that year, didn't experience the the bad '04 season to really appreciate that game. I remember everyone was worried when Richie went down but Trey Elder made enough plays to pull through. I'd put this game at #6 with the other ones.
