Dr. Zillmer gets called for a technical foul against Delaware
I decided to give this it's own thread since most of you don't look at the Women's Basketball thread.

Anyway, with about 2 minutes left in the game, and Drexel with a convincing lead over Delaware, Dr. Zillmer handed out the streamers to the fans in the President's Suite, as per tradition.

Drexel had the ball with 31 seconds left and was running out the clock. Even though there was 1 second between the game and shot clock, Hannah Nihill had no intention of taking a shot and was content with taking a shot clock violation. The buzzer went off and clock stopped with 1 second left, and all of the fans with streamers threw the steamers onto the court. That resulted in a delay of game technical foul on Drexel with 1 second left. It had no affect on the outcome as Drexel still won 74-53. It was just a humorous ending to a great game at the DAC this afternoon.

Well, not really assessed personally...... Administrative technical foul assessed to the team for the streamers stopping play. Officials had no choice but to call it.

A fine last second of the game:

Shot Clock violation on DU
Administrative Technical Foul - 2 shots for UD
Foul called on Delaware with 0:00.1 on the clock

It's more fun to blame him personally since he was the one who handed out the streamers. It didn't matter much in a blowout, but I hope the streamers never lead to problems in a close game.

Those refs might be the only people who would be less fun to han out with on New Year’s Eve than I am.

It always grinds my gears when they can’t be human beings for 1 second.
