Men's basketball going three deep in the NIT.
Men's basketball winning its first SBC regular season title.
Men's track winning the triple crown.
Hard to call it a highlight, since we cratered at the end, but baseball winning a share of the SBC for the first time.
Kevin Hervey winning the SBC athlete of the year.

The firing of softball coach Michael Lotief and subsequent hire of Gerry Glasco.
The completion of the baseball palace that is Russo Park

One of the most successful coaches in NCAA history? At our level, we are all one coaching decision away from mediocrity. I don't know that I'd call it a highlight yet.

Well,, first of all, I didn't call it a highlight. I called it one of our biggest stories.

But, to address your comment, I don't give a damn how successful he was. Documents showed He put his hands on a female co-worker and emotionally abused his players to the point one of them sliced open her wrists with a razorblade that took 30 stitches to close.

He's available. Go ahead and hire him.

For NMSU - Hands down, winning the Arizona Bowl in OT.
#2 is probably QUALIFYING for a bowl game with come from behind win over So Alabama.
MBB win over undefeated #6 Miami in the Hawaii Diamond Head tournament this December.
Sweeping UTEP and UNM in MBB and football (5-0 total)
MBB 28 win season and winning WAC tourney last March plus resulting NCAA Tourney (5th in last 6 years, but lost to Baylor in NCAA)

It’s 2018 right? We can forget 2017. On an unrelated side note if anyone is interested in a really cool nice guy who never works hard, can’t make any simple adjustments (don’t run into the punter) and throws drunken darts we’ve got a steal for you.

On a bad year we still punished ul-l ull lala (which one is it?)

Then we hired the 2-4 special teams coach...

Best highlight was firing of Tyson and the hiring of at least one proven coach in DeBesse, thank you Bob for sacrificing him at just the right time.

We added a Computer Science PhD program, broke ground on a $160 million dollar engineering building, added another building in the STAR (Science, Technology, and Advanced Research) park, and had the best year ever for University fundraising (a 40% increase over the three-year average).

Oh wait, this was supposed to be for athletics...

Well I'll steal that directly from Dr Trauth's year end review:

"Lastly, I’d like to recognize some of the outstanding efforts of our student-athletes this year. Three of our athletics programs had particularly strong seasons. The Bobcat women’s cross-country team won the 2017 Sun Belt Conference championship; our volleyball team clinched the Sun Belt Conference West Division title, and made it to the second round of the National Invitational Volleyball Championship; and our Bobcat soccer team finished second in the Sun Belt Conference."

If that doesn't say we're completely okay with athletic anonymity and expect nothing from our athletic program and AD - nothing else will.

Well...when you put it like that.

Last I heard there were differences between the coaching staff and admin.

Tie, between beating Troy, or beating Arkansas State at rickety old rustbucket, Ladd.
