Check out the NIU CSNbbs pages if you want some entertainment. They are hanging Carey, thinking FCS, and having suicidal thoughts in one page. I did learn something though, Carey is 1-13 vs winning teams last 14? Umm

They’ve been on his back for several years now, and honestly I do think it’s somewhat justified. He makes some puzzling coaching decisions. They’ve underachieved for a few consecutive years now and are definitely trending down... stuck in neutral at best.

+1 - bad decisions during the game and bad decisions on who plays. Ran best QB off this year's team. NIU can't afford to eat even 1 years salary, so he will be back for 2018. The talk about FCS is nonsense, but most feel the MAC-ESPN deal is killing attendance and the Illinois budget issues are hurting all Illinois schools academics and athletics.

I can imagine Illinois budget is hurting schools bad. The MAC/ESPN gives exposure for recruits but does little for the fans. If you had WMU season tickets this year with mid week and the Akron flood you really got screwed. With all the ESPN funding issues I'm surprised the contract hasn't been revisited. Fox, CBS and NBC sports networks would be better avenue today for the MAC to showcase some Sat night games. You aren't going to compete with P5 TV on a Sat afternoon but WMU vs CMU on a a Sat night with full stands looks better than a Weds with 3500.

My first year springing for season suite tix ... wasn't the best season for it... that is FOR SURE. It was nice though being out of the weather during those late season games in the cold/rain... The Akron game was a disaster... If you didn't get into the suite before they evacuated the field for lightning you were out of luck... the entrance to the suites is INSIDE the gate and the gate was on LOCKDOWN... I was stuck in the parking lot until a brave few of us were able to infiltrate the bill brown building and find our way to the suite level... birds eye view of the field flooding and eventual cancellation...

Yea that's the problem, too many people look at the overall record and don't realize the trend has been downward. And it was only good at the beginning due to Kill's and Doeren's recruits. Big questions on who he selects to play too.

And the bowl losses are by a lot, most of them.

RE: NIU Dog pound
It was clear by the "coaching" in the QL bowl that they didn't want to be there. Pathetic.
