RE: McGee fired at Iliinois
McGee brought the thunder and lighting to UAB. Hope your not referimg to Ohio. They have Solich and and a ten year success. Which he proved Saturday. We came out Stong, They hampered us from the first drive it was evident they were not going to let us play the game. Don't know where were we are going to get a fair game with fair refs. That's the issue at hand we got tooled from the first drive any way. We did Great. Like to see those Mac teams play a fair game they kind of like the Big 10, they chomp ankles.

Illinois was young everywhere on offense, but his play calling was awful. He failed to make basic adjustments to give the team a chance. He kept trying to force them to do it his way, and did not adjust to make it easy. Still a very stubborn coach.

Great, I hope he catches on somewhere.

And the negativity stops when he's mentioned.

your ignorance on football/basketball matters is immense.

I may have missed it, but has Big Dee weighed in on our OC situation yet? Is he "all in" for Les, or ready to try something else? Does he think Les is awesome, and we just don't have much real talent to work? There are a lot of variables in play!

A lot of people share that opinion, and most of them are not bad fans either. Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.

He's shopping himself already, ran off the best RB, don't know his recruiting factor, and we saw certain players reps decrease and some never really got any.

He is not on anybody's radar, as far as I can tell. His name was floated out there in the South Alabama and LA-Lafayette searches, but he did not make the final 4 cut at any of them.

Could be a tell- tell sign. Reminds me of XHCNC.

Callaway was established as a really good OL coach though, and was pretty much Pat Dye's right hand man when AU fielded very physical teams. On the flip side, Franchione called his own plays when Koenning was his OC.

No. I watched them both. Statistically similar, but 2013 offense had a lot more mop up yards and garbage time touchdowns after the other team was ahead by 35 points or more. It was bad.

You can say this happened from 2007-2013

In UAB's FBS history, I think the 2014 that averaged 33.2 PPG is the only team we've ever had to average more than 30 points a game for a season. Truly great teams on offense average 40+PPG (8 teams did it this year)......like FAU, Oklahoma State, Memphis, Central Florida, a lot of years - Houston, etc. I would love to at least get to the mid-30's average. 35 PPG this year would rank you at 23rd best.

26-30 points is a good offense. 30-35 is a great offense.

Both years of McGee offenses are top ten in yards in school history.

Yeah, I'd just love to take it to the next level offensively. High scoring teams that are fun to watch will draw more casual fans to the games.

Well that's going to happen when you are down 35-10 at the half and the other team's defense just wants to keep the ball in front of them and the crowd entertained .

Again every team faced this seeming as none of them had winning records. Also Garrick was not the HC when UAB suffered the worst lost in school history.
