This game was a testimony to just how good the GSU secondary is. Frustrated the #4 passer in the nation all night and the only time he tested #16 Jerome Smith, he got intercepted.

Don't understand the attendance jabs either. GSU was well represented and easily outnumbered the Hilltoppers. As Stan mentioned, we sold out our allotment plus some. Not sure any other Sun Belt would have brought more.
Was discussing the attendance last week with someone. We both agreed that it's affected by location, time, date, opponent. What if yesterday's opponent were a 6-6 southern P5? What if we were playing in Montgomery? What if we were playing after Christmas? A number of factors could make it better or worse. Not worth even discussing since we 1) sold out our allotment and 2) won.

Agreed...just need to sustain it. And not have those moments like the TSU loss that send a wave of "same old GSU" sentiment across the minds of fans.
Top 5 m moment for Athletics?

Assuming you mean yesterday's win and not the TSU loss...I think it almost has to be. I didn't start at GSU until 07 though, so it's possible there's stuff I'm missing (I know the first tourney win was bigger but haven't heard stories of much else that would top winning a bowl to get a thus-far-historic 7th win).

I originally had a response to this where I completely forgot which game it was that CRH fell out of his chair.

Not thinking clearly today...02-13-banana

EDIT: Oh! But that's a good list. I'd put 90210 over the GS win, probably...and in terms of my own elation, our SBC tourney win in 15 was bigger because of how close it was and how disappointing the loss was the year before.

True. But I think in importance to the program yesterday may have been the most important day other than Becker announcing we were pursuing the Ted. I am hearing from folks that just recruiting wise as far as chatter it represents a before and after date.

Makes sense...especially in CSE's first year!

Would also move 90210 higher, but hard to argue with this list.

RE: Cure Bowl GaSt-WKU
For all the GS fans that swore GSU would suck forever and never get off the ground, it is a college football program in GA not called Sav St therefore near impossible to suck forever. Like I said for years on our board they were going to get off the ground eventually, just jumped up way to early and paid dearly for doing so. Congrats to GSU you earned it and looks like for once you actually have a real coach for X's and O's and recruiting. This is actually a good thing for GS in some ways.

I said years ago that any FBS school in Georgia should look at 9 wins as a minimum standard. I think eventually all four programs will be that dominant.
