I agree. The Republican party did not need both Moore and Trump stumping in 2018. No matter how much some of the more heavy right wingers would convince themselves of it.
The reality is, people can only tolerate so much crazy at one time.
I mean, the GOP is not really in any danger of losing the senate even with a 1 vote margin. It would something catastrophic to change that. The concern for them is the House, and they could easily lose the House if people were forced to listen to Moore and Trump talk for a year straight.
I admit, as a Christian, I can only tolerate Moore's constant quoting of the bible so much. Today he managed to quote the book of psalms and an Alabama recount law in the same sentence. It's nauseating.
The man routinely asks for people to bring Bibles to his rallies so he can autograph them. My God, how presumptious is that? Although I suspect that given his recent trouble with autographs, he probably has thought better about asking to autograph things.
I can only hope Moore and his coterie of dead enders mount a Roy Moore for Governor campaign against Kay Ivey in the GOP primary. LOL. Moore got 70+ of white males and 60+ of white women. He could win a GOP primary next year for Governor. But he can't win a general election.

As far as the Senate goes, the chances of a control flip went from about 10 percent to around 40 percent. Now, all the Dems have to do is hang on to all their seats and flip Arizona and Nevada. In Arizona, which has an electorate no where near as extreme as Alabama's, the likely GOP candidate is really nuts and the Dems have a great candidate. Demographics are trending towards the Dems. And then, there's the issue of Joe Arpaio, who is threatening to run for office next year. Having that racist bully on the ballot would be catastrophic for the GOP there.
And there's also the chance that the GOP makes a dumb move in their primary in Tennessee. And watch out for Texas. It looks like an impossible race, but Ted Cruz is widely loathed and Beto is running - hard.
Oddly enough, I'm really only concerned about two states now for the Dems, Indiana and Missouri. WV and ND look, for now, to be relatively safe, which is amazing.
