Best CBB offenses
Let's set aside the squads that regularly feature blue chip recruits, what teams run the best offense in CBB? We all trash UC's offense, which definitely deserves it most times, but i want a good point of reference with comparable talent.
Thanks...

I don't think you have to look far, look at Chris Mack and Xavier. Other teams include Gonzaga, Butler, and Note Dame.

Yep. Butler beat UC home and away in '15 and '16 and at Hinkle the Bulldogs looked like a much smarter basketball team, running offensive sets to get shooters open and knocking down shots. Of course our coach blamed (new) Big East officiating for that loss.

i don't know what izzo's recruiting is like. i don't hear about them among the blue bloods, but i always liked the way sparty and wisky (under Bo Ryan) ran their offenses. Haven't seen much of the zags or butler (i don't watch much sports besides my teams). That said, i've always felt that X was more about the guys shooting the ball rather than good offense. Maybe they weren't highly touted but were guys that could put the ball in the bucket. i've never felt like they did anything great scheme wise.

You probably think that about X because X has lit it up from 3 against UC. X has always been good at getting good looks inside that lead to good looks outside. Having an elite college scorer like Blueitt helps a ton. X is second in college basketball in effective fg percentage and second in overall 2 point percentage. They are elite on the offensive end this year (probably the best offensive team Mack has produced).
Duke's been the best offensive team in the country. They do it by having by far the best offensive talent across the board.
Villanova is always among the best offensive and defensive teams int he country. Jay Wright has made that program pretty incredible.
