Cant wait to play them now next year! Should put up 400 yards passing easily :)

Is he going in the same capacity - DB coach?

Assistant head Coach and secondary. Assuming it’s a promotion

Perhaps the new "Stupid Penalties Coordinator" could double as the "Don't kick it out of bounds" placekicking coach.

No. These problems were so bad, that we need one coach focused on each issue.

I don't wanna break too far away from the Bearcat Meta, it could just be young players, and players who lack skill will overcompensate and commit stupid penalties.

He has done wonders for their passing defense. If you look over the last 4 years they are the best passing defense in the MAC by a large margin and have had multiple all-leaguers in the DB.

That guy has had the AHC title so many times in his career....I just didn't see the hype. You better be an all star recruiter or a damn good teacher. Which was he again?

Is Paul Haynes to UC a done deal? Don't see any news about it in a google search or on his twitter.

Fyi, Mickens' Twitter profile has gone neutral. No more BGSU background or mention of him being a coach there. And there are... rumblings. Very weak rumblings but...

The local BG paper reported he left BG for Kent St. in December. But I don't think anything's been said on the Kent St. side about it. Maybe another school got involved???

Yup, it's happening. I love Mickens as a CB coach, and with the youngsters we have in that group I'm finally optimistic about our secondary going forward for the first time in a decade.

Yep...

I've posted it before, still need Mickens, Pike, Gilyard, Binns, Pead, Byrd, Wolfe and Kelce up there as well... probably a few others.

I love CLF bringing in UC guys as assistant coaches. Not just for tradition and playing experiences here but because they are qualified as well. That is a good combo for the young men in black, white and red they are leading.

I would agree with three of those. While others were great players, only three were transcendent in a level that deserves that kind of honor WHILE THEY WERE HERE. Mickens, Gilyard, and Byrd were all-Americans and cornerstones of the teams that really re-created Cincinnati's sporting identity. Pead is borderline for me...not an AA, but all-league for a few years and did perform incredibly well for us for his whole career here, but if you put him up there you'd probably have to put up McCleskey and maybe even David Small too. Tony Pike was an incredible contributor, but I don't think he's on the same level due to his only playing a year and a half, and Wolfe and Kelce were extremely good players and deserve an honor too...but I think most of their accolades would stem from their pro careers and not their UC careers. Binns is a weird one...the dude made arguably the biggest play of the history of our program, but his best year was during one of our worst years in the last two decades. I'm not sure I could reward that.

The one you didn't mention who I think is even more deserving is Kevin Huber. But having two other guys on there who are primarily known for kicking things makes it hard to justify another with so many other players in the history.

Huber is already up... he was the last guy added to the ROH.
