This is not a request. This is an order. The mods will clear this place the fvck out if ya'll can't shape up.

Do not temp me or the other mods. Shape up or ship out.

treating your customers like escaped slaves is a "leadership" theme at this place. I had forgotten.

I actually appreciate the reminder.

Not that it matters, but this is a terrible decision, in my opinion. Punishing those that call out another's public dishonor rewards the welching behavior. Stand for something, damn it.

RE: Making it personal, part 2
So let me get this straight. We have a moderator (who by the way is a moderator on the AAC board, my home board) who made a bet with other posters last year on the presidential election. He lost said bet, and announces he would leave the Spin Room forever since that was his part of said bet. He decides to come back a year later, therefore welching on the bet. We call him out for not having any honor, and we're the bad guys?

Oh, yeah. That totally makes sense. 01-wingedeagle

I'm sorry, but he shouldn't even be a mod if he can't take even a little good-natured ribbing from people about it. Also, if you can't honor a bet you don't intend to honor or keep a promise you don't intend to keep, then simply don't make it.

(Just my two cents, mods.)

UTSA, did you grant a forbearance on the bet?

It wasn't even a year, FWIW, but yeah. You nailed it.

It was 10 months to be specific. I've asked, on a number of occasions, "he who shall not be named" to dazzle us with his theory that 10 months = a full calendar year, but he's too much of a coward to do it.
