That guy is not head coach material.

Kevin Sumlin, anybody?

rumor is SMU offered him 2 million per year to follow Chad Morris and he said 'no'

I guess he wants a P5 job.

Wait, isn't SMU in the AAC, I thought they were a P...........oh, never mind....

don't be all mad over a simple marketing campaign.

the SEC tv deal pays 35 million per team...ours pays 2 million per team...we know what's up.

2M? Wow thought it was way more than that. Still nobody in the Belt is sniffing 2M for the HC position.

Kinda shocked with what he’s done with Kennesaw St that he isn’t more of a hot commodity (plus I don’t want him staying in GSU’s backyard).

Wishful thinking when TK is fired that guy is on the express train for GS when the HC position opens up again. If TK was not here he or Davis at Army would be our coach right now.

Yep. WOTS is 2m for HC and double salaries for coordinators and staff.

We aren't sniffing, we are putting out bait.

What? No comment from anyone? Tech trolls?

That word on the street was confirmed by an LSU media outlet in Lafayette, BTW, so take it for what it's worth.

Presser expected in the next few days to announce the hire.

I heard the same numbers as Rick.

Maybe Cumbie
Todd Ordlando can do better
Kevin Sumlin turned down SMU to think Cajuns have a shot is not bright.

RE: UL Coaching Search
So UL is screwed for the early signing period like we are but good to see they are taking there time and going with a real nationwide search.

I wonder if ULL was interested in Mike Houston from JMU? He stated today he turned down multiple FBS opportunities and would be signing a 10 year extension with JMU.

I'm sure he was on the original list, but according to the rumor mill on raginpagin, (since the AD has been absolutely silent as he should be) I think we're down to about 5 right now. If that's correct, it would be Canada, Cumbie, Henson, Pry, and Orlando. Hopefully we'll hear something by the end of the week. Then again, Gerry Glaso's name was never mentioned in any discussion (official or message board) before signing on as the new softball coach with a substantial raise for head coach and staff from the prior administration. At this point, nothing would surprise me.

I expect that we will hear something this week. There are some fine candidates for the job.

He turned down the pay they were offering not the job, pay as in total package pay not just for him. Very smart as he knows quality coords cost money as well. He wanted an FBS job make no mistake. He is from NC and coached in the SE region for all his career, could be a factor.

Who do you think will get it? How many are in the final running?

Pry has his name thrown in every time GS looks for a coach. He was a finalist when we hired Fritz but I don't think he got a serious look after that.

Which means it will probably not be one of these 5. It's usually a name not mentioned.

Rumor was Lindsey interviewed yesterday (was not the only one) and more interviews today. It's wait and see time.

RE: UL Coaching Search
I’m almost certain we will end up with Brent Pry, who is the least exciting candidate on the list.
