Probably a bit of an overpay for an OC of a team that won what...6 games last year? But its only an overpay if the Cajuns don't win as a result.

Last guess on salary I saw was about $900K per year with the incentives up to $1.5M. I think the $1.1M was in reference to Pry.

Eh. I just don't understand the need for anyone in the Sun Belt to pay a coach over a Million dollars a year, and I say that knowing that AState would gladly do so for the right coach.

To me, we are competing with 65 teams for one spot, with zero chance of rising above that spot. There's a cap at what one can achieve at this level, and there's in turn a cap at one coach can achieve before he gets picked up by other schools

Then there is the whole angle of, if the team doesn't win, you're out a lot of money trying to fire.
