RE: Coach of the year
Maybe I’m bias, but after 5 at .500 or below seasons, Brown takes Troy from 4-8 to TWO 10+ win seasons, gets ranked in top 25 first time in sbc history, beats LSU at LSU and wins the sbc, he still hasn’t won coach of the year is a head scratcher.

Elliott. He was contending for SBC championship within last 2 weeks of the season...with Trent Mile's senior players...with all due respect should be playing FCS. nuff said.

Should be Brown. But they'll probably give it to Shawn.

Georgia State lost to Idaho without Linehan. Sorry, the time for giving GSU coaches the award because they just do okay is over.

RE: Coach of the year
Before the last two weeks, I would have given it to Elliot. But I think it's gotta be Brown this year.

RE: Coach of the year
I think 1st year HC's bowl eligibility with previously 3-9 team makes the better story.

Shawn Elliott getting passed over would be okay too actually. Saves GSU money for giving Elliott the CoY bonus on top of the bowl eligibility bonus

I voted Elliot, but I wish I could retract it, I vote Martin! First bowl game in 50 years, that's something special.

Neal got it done with a P5 SEC win...I cant argue with trophies and rings, will probably go to Elliot although I dont think they beat a team with a winning record but improvement none the less.

Really happy for you guys! I watched the end and everyone rushing the field. Nice crowd looked like too.
