1. It will be full house. The stadium's capacity is 20k.

2. LA Tech - The biggest thing you guys are going to have to do is somehow contain SMU's Courtland Sutton. He will be the best player on the field. If you can do that, you should come out with a W. They have some other players that are decent, but he probably accounts for at least 3 of their wins this year.

Sutton will be a first round pick. I was kinda hoping he wouldn’t want to risk injury in a meaningless bowl game.

How sad is it Tennessee has had a vacancy since October and most schools have been without a coach afew days? I suspect SMU will have a new one before Rocky Top..

But I digress

Arkansas has been doing the coach dance for several weeks. They honestly thought they could get Mahlzan to come back.

I thought he would. Those fans are fickle as hell. If he loses against UCF they'll want him run out of town.

Chad Morris has agreed to be the next Arkansas coach, leaving SMU, sources told ESPN.

The Razorbacks fired Bret Bielema last month after a 4-8 finish in his fifth season. Arkansas hired Houston's Hunter Yurachek as its new athletic director on Monday.

Arkansas plans to announce the Morris deal later Wednesday after Yurachek's introductory news conference and then formally introduce him on Thursday.

I'm excited to play SMU again. Still miss the early WAC days. Would love to see a home and home series with SMU in the future. Sorry you are losing your coach. Might be a lucky break for us.

With the bowl game 2 weeks from today along with Arkansas not going to a bowl game I could see Morris sticking it out for 2 more weeks. Had the game been after Christmas and Arkansas was going to a bowl game I could see him leaving now to get a jump on next year.

IT wouldn't be 50/50 even if they played it at Ford Field. Beat the heck out of those Pony's LaTech.

He has a short time to get a class put together. I would imagine he would want to get his coaching staff hired ASAP and getting them to sway kids ASAP.

Plus who is he taking with him?? Who will be left in Dallas to coach the game?

First year for the early signing period so we'll see. My guess is he's going to leave the SMU staff to coach the bowl game, work with the existing Arkansas staff on recruiting, and not make changes until after the early signing period/bowl game.

Chad Morris should be a good hire for Arkansas. Not only does it give Arkansas a new coach with a wide open offensive mind, but Morris' long history in Texas high school football should pay huge dividends for Arkansas' recruitment efforts in Texas.

Before taking the Arkansas job, Bret Bielema spent his entire adult career in the midwest. I'm not sure how the leadership at the Univ of Arkansas ever thought Bielema's background was going to help the hogs in recruiting. 01-wingedeagle

To be a successful football program, Arkansas needs to successfully recruit Texas and Arkansas. Hiring Chad Morris will help this.

I agree. Texas is the key for Arkansas, Oklahoma and Louisiana schools alike. Chad's High school background probably has a lot to do with why he is moving to Fayettville.

Thankfully for SMU, we only run about three offensive plays; should take about five minutes to plan a defensive scheme.
