Exclamation Keys to the Game: Arkansas State vs Troy
Just curious, what do other SBC fans think each team's strengths and weaknesses are? What are the keys to the game for each team?

I'd also like to hear from non ASTATE and TROY fans on what their observation of Troy and Arkansas State have been.

Troy - Offensively I think you guys can control time of possession with a better run game. Defensively, two things that are kind of obvious facing ASU....sound play by your defensive backs and QB pressure. Hansen has some great numbers, but against our abysmal team at the time, he seemed mistake prone. I think we intercepted him four times that game and was in his face a good bit. Where we got beat was drop back lob passes that were jump balls where our defensive backs got out-played.

ASU - Offensively, If your line gives Hansen time to set his feet, he will put some points on the board. Defensively, defend the run to reduce Troy time of possession.

The above sounds kinda "Captain Obvious" but I really think this one falls into the "close game" cliche....win the turnover battle and minimize sloppy penalties. Good luck to both but my gut tells me Troy has this in a close one.

Pressure on Hansen is the key - otherwise he'll pick you apart - he is very accurate and makes good reads. Several of his interceptions have come when he was hit while throwing the ball.

He has a very quick release, so it won’t be easy.
