Hopefully you guys will be scheduled against teams like you played against all year. You know the bottom. That way you can win your bowl game....

Maybe y'all should do the same in OOC since you can actually control that and y'all might win too ...

Sorry we forgot about all of your quality wins that make you a much better team than us. RPI has us at 69th in the nation while you are at 76th. We lost the same amount of games as you did but played two P5 teams. We are the 38th best defense statistically in the nation vs. you being 56th. We are the 34th best offense in the nation while you are 11th. You win offense, we win defense. We are also 2-0 in bowl games since we joined vs. you being 1-1. We are similar programs but in no way can you outright say we need to play easy teams to win or that your team is better than ours. NCAA statistics, the products on the field, and the fact that we are 1-1 head to head since joining the conference all back that up.

I want Troy vs. Toledo for my own selfish reasons, but I definitely understand why Troy wants New Orleans. We have to admit that Troy is the only conference team that has a chance of beating Toledo right now.

New Orleans has become "our home away from home" over the years. It's always been the best fan experience for most of us. It was my first in 2006. I was at the 2008 and 2010 New Orleans Bowls as well. All great experiences.

Troy's first bowl game was in 2004 against NIU somewhere in California. It rained the whole time if I remember and I don't remember the fans saying they really enjoyed that one.

That said, I did really enjoy the Dollar General last year. Got to go hangout with some friends from college.

Name any quality wins Toledo has right now? They beat up on MAC competition, and had wins against OOC foes with five total wins.

They look good, but nothing out of the MAC outside of a PJ Fleck WMU squad of years past is unbeatable. The SBC should play anyone anywhere. I don't want to play MAC team this year for other reasons, being scared we would lose is not one.

Also, people were talking up Toledo last year prior to the Camellia Bowl game, well we saw what App did to them there.

Just curious how much input a school has in selecting conference opponents.

LSU is the only one to brag about. Akron blows. If we didnt put in 5th year seniors to give them a championship taste we would have beaten them by 50. Both games they scored on final play of the game as a morale boost. They are about the 5th best team in the conference.

As long as we don't play anyone remotely good at football, I'm okay with wherever for the bowl.

Can the Sun Belt move ahead of MAC or CUSA with a good bowl record like last year? You have to think we would surpas the MAC if we beat Toledo and Akron in the 2 Alabama bowl games. We would need Troy to thump UNT and a win in Cure. That should make a difference

I went to all 4 bowls for stAte. one of the times a big fight broke out in the stands and it was non-stAte people. A couple of stAte fans tried to break it up and ended up getting struck. Another time I went, some non-stAte fans wandered into the middle of the stAte crowd and sat down right in front of me. I was fine with that until one of them started lighting up some weed. I tapped him on the shoulder and said "Hey man, not here, go sit over there if you want to hit that" He nodded and he and his buddy moved to the end zone. Finally - 3. No Freakin Jumbotron! At least not when I was there. Has that been addressed?

So maybe the neighborhood around Ladd is a little sketchy and they could use a little more care and attention to the visitor side for sure.

What? They have an excellent 42 inch TV in one corner of the stadium at Legion Field South.

If I remember right they brought in a big screen into Ladd for the bowl game. Put in the corner of the stadium.
