Should the Cajuns fire Hudspeth
If they lose to App State this weekend? That would be 3 really mediocre years in a row, he's getting paid a million dollars, and has a really bad habit of blaming his players when things go wrong. Plus, his shirt is two sizes too small.

Thoughts?

A better question would be whether or not Hudspeth should be fired even if he WINS at App St, which is entirely possible. That's probably the worst case scenario for ULL. How would you justify firing a coach that had just gotten his team bowl eligible?

Because there are coaches in this conference that are performing much better at half his pay

It would be fitting if Hud was fired losing his last game versus a team he claimed they shouldn’t be in a conference with.

We’ll be glad to help him pack.

No, he is an awesome coach and needs to stay. I would be willing to purchase him a more size appropriate shirt, if he stays. Just let me know where to send the funds. 07-coffee3

Honestly, the way GS is playing now I think we would be a handful for anyone in the conference (think of the way App progressed through 2014 and A-State through 2016).

You can't just dismiss the largest margin of victory in a Sun Belt game ever and then a pretty convincing win on the road back to back weeks, both against Belt teams on pace to make bowl eligibility.

It would be one thing to fire Hud because of the last 3 seasons, but throwing him out for losing to a red-hot GS team and losing to App in Boone would be dumb.

Agreed. Always good to finish the season on a positive note.

You don’t pay a coach $1M/year at the G5 level to win six games a year.
