Really been little chatter about this game outside of our own board. Vegas says AState by 8, but I've seen a couple computer rankings that list ULM as 8 or 9 point favorites.

This is expected to be a high scoring encounter as it features the Sun Belt's top two offenses statistically. Key is probably which defense does a better job of slowing the other offense down, and who can limit their mistakes the best.

AState is looking for its 8th straight win over the Warhawks. ULM is traditionally the one road game that AState will bring a decent sized traveling party too. Monroe is only 5 hours from Jonesboro, and three from a very large Central Arkansas Alumni base. By far the closest football opponent we see yearly.

Should be a really good game. I’m excited about it.

I predict a Marcus Green kickoff return for a ULM touchdown. Hey, why not? What would be nice if it's the only time stAte kicks off the entire game but that ain't gonna happen.

We'll certainly kick to him. We're pretty well known for coaching our kicker to make sure the ball is caught at the 1 yard line on every kick return. Would rather take our chances on a return than give the opponent the ball on the 25

To this point, only NMSU has managed anything against our kicking unit.

I hope you do. Green looked even fast against Auburn. He is tied for the #1 in the country for kicks returned for TD’s. That’ll be a matchup to watch. I do think he’ll return one if you kick to him.

I will be at the game. Could be close or we could get spanked. A-State playing conference title. I wouldn’t touch this game on a bet.
