That awful 2005 season with an antiquated Don Treadwell offense threw for @ 15 yards less a game than Moore this year.

Yeah, but when you're looking at those numbers remember Moore has thrown fully 1/3 MORE passes than Grutza did...and that's with only three years to compare to Grutza's four.

You're throwing it more with Moore (no puns intended) so...yeah, his TD numbers are going to be higher. We ran it more when Dantonio and Treadwell were around... It's not exactly a fair comparison.

Look... Grutza is long gone and nobody's impression of him is going to change. It remains to be seen what Hayden Moore can do in one more year.

TD to INT ratio is the better one to use, and QB rating. Grutza and Moore have about the same rating. They are also the only 2 I posted that had more TD passes than INTs.

Remember Grutza was playing as a freshman and sophomore with teams that were among the youngest in the country. We'd probably think differently about him if he weren't forced into action early with inferior teams.

His first year as a starter that was a very young team, 4-8 as I recall. I thought he played well under BK when he had opportunities.

They honored him on senior day. No doubt this was his last year. What could have been the last few two years if he was healthy and kicking like he did his first two year seasons. That kick against ECU in 2014 is still an all time Bearcat moment.

What QB didn't struggle under Dantonio?

I remember Dustin for being one tough SOB.

Dustin should've been more of a developmental prospect and redshirted and backed up a couple years before starting. However thanks to Minter we had nothing on the roster and he was forced into service.

Although he was beat out by Mauk and Pike at the end of his career he was a reliable backup and would've been a good starter under Kelly if he had been given the opportunity.

Kelly was great at putting QBs in the perfect situation. Had Hayden been in Grutza's situation would things be different?

Kelly was great at putting almost all players in the perfect situation. He has a real knack for highlighting individual player's strengths and hiding their respective weaknesses.
