This is what I've been saying for a couple years. Nothing will change until we get a new coach who knows how to recruit and develop players. Will this ever happen? Our track record has not been good for decades.

I don't know Id consider NU an even bigger trainwreck, you have all the resources in the world in the Big 10 and you hardly ever make the tourney. Pretty awful.

It's way too early in the year for this stuff, but do you honestly believe they are running an offense that will be productive when teams actually decide to play defense? Scoring hasn't been an issue but they've played a cupcake (which they didn't dominate) and then played 35 minutes of basketball against Penn losing by 10+. Here are some way too early national rankings for you...

This is classic Monty basketball. Once teams start forcing us to shoot 3s we'll be dead. Nobody is playing defense in November. Unless German is going to average 20+ in conference play then I see nothing but the same old same old. We'll see if SF finally has the authority to make a coaching change if necessary.

Yep, that's definitely Montyball. Amazing how it's like that year after year, no matter who is on the team.

Even more amazing is that Monty was a great B1G point guard. You'd think he'd know how to run an efficient offense...or at least recruit players that are solid ball handlers and decision makers

If I hear Tom Izzo in another NIU broadcast I am going to hurl. I almost think becoming the understudy of Tom Izzo was the biggest detriment to Coach Montgomery's coaching career. MSU basketball only works if you have their athletes.

This is how it's been for as long as I can remember. It's gotten to the point where a player takes a shot within 3 feet of the basket and I expect a miss.
