Holy Smokes, sure did, by 33. This was Richmond's first win of the season. 04-jawdrop

Well, at least Western is looking decent thus far (and ODU).

We will see about MT tomorrow vs. Dunk City

WKU will get spanked on Wednesday by Villanova, with 7 scholarship players and facing the number 5 team. Out of the 7, 3 are freshmen, if Colby and Johnson get in foul trouble we are toast.

They used to be UT Pan American. Not sure whether you've heard of them either, but UT-Pan American, UT-Brownsville, and the UT Regional Academic Health Center consolidated to become UT Rio Grande Valley in 2013.

Seems weird that FIU signed up for an in-season tournament in Milwaukee against a Division II team. Hopefully there’s more to it than that...

We got one of their best players from last year, a transfer (originally from the Memphis area)

I think the team was decimated with players transferring out. Picked 6th out of an 8-team WAC.

RE: 11/19 Basketball games
The season is young, but

of the 18 D-1 wins that CUSA has combined so far this year..........

those 18 teams have just a combined 11 wins between them

ODU has beaten teams with a combined 5 wins. No other team in our conference has beaten a team with (combined) more than one win (6 CUSA teams)

4 of our schools are winless against D-1 competition

3 of our schools have only beaten winless teams

I wasn't going to complain about schedules this year because, frankly, ODU's is garbage as well... but dayum, at least schedule D1 cupcakes (and tournaments) against MEAC and Southland schools if you are going to put together a weak schedule.

Years ago they were in the Sun Belt with us. They came along when the American South merged with the Sun Belt. Left in the late 90’s. They were terrible back then. I didn’t remember ever losing to them but looked in the record book and we’re 14-2 against them. I had wondered whatever happened to them. Didn’t know they’d merged with other schools and had a new name.

LA Tech is 5-0, including wins over teams from the Missouri Valley conference (Evansville, who was 5-0 coming in), the Ohio Valley conference (SE Missouri), the Atlantic 10 (George Mason) and the Big Sky (Montana St). That's not terrible.

Also descended from the aptly named Texas Southmost College.
