Whole conversation, virtually, is about Lynch, Rosen, and Riley Ferguson. Good listen for when you have time!


They spend about 20 minutes talking about Riley...he comes in at about the 20 minute mark. Also comments on Anthony Miller. Good listen for when you have time.

One thing they spend time on is Riley's throwing motion. Yes, it is a bit of a pitchers "windup" but to me he has a VERY quick release.

That might be a good thing for him. A good team may draft him late and let him develop behind one of the soon to be retiring franchise quarterbacks. Patriots or the Steelers I would hope.

That might be a good thing for him. A good team may draft him late and let him develop behind one of the soon to be retiring franchise quarterbacks. Patriots or the Steelers I would hope.

I could live with Favre, Rodgers, Ferguson.

The past few games he has seemed to do a much better job of stepping up into the pocket. Early in the season he was definitely rolling out and breaking protection way too often.

That "wind up" stuff does become an issue for a lot of guys at the next level. At the very least it leaves you more open to being stripped of the ball. There is no doubt it does slow the release potential. Even a quarter of a second matters big time in the NFL.

Riley's NFL ceiling is probably as #2. I think he would make a solid CFL franchise QB.

I do think there is a growing market for more mobile back ups in the NFL.

In that respect Riley reminds me a little bit of Aaron Rodgers. Obviously RF is not on that level, but both throw the ball well on the run. It’s a good quality to have.

Dan Marino had an ultra fast trigger/release. If you watch him in his prime, you can see from the instant he decides to throw the ball to the instant it has left his had is almost instantaneous.

Of course Dan also had the golden arm and blistering accuracy down the field as well. But for those wondering what people mean by "release" and "wind ups", this is specifically what is being referred to.

Pull up some old clips of Marino's release. Then pull up Byron Leftwich and compare with that crazy pitchers like wind up.

If the Broncos don't make adjustments to their offensive scheme then Lynch will not be successful and the Broncos fans will just say he is a bust. Their offense is stuck in the 1990's. The one positive is that they are playing the Raiders and their D has stunk. But they just fired their D coordinator so we shall see.

Might be he had too, line has not been the best, the bowl game last year he was pressured every play
