Period.

Hopefully there is a telephone book's worth of paperwork on the way to the league office. This crew needs to be suspended at the least.

When I thought about this a moment I recalled the game in FEF a few seasons ago under Pastner when we were playing Louisville. One of the worst called games I've ever attended. One play in particular when DJ Stephens was jumping and literally got shoved out of bounds and somehow it was on us.

The game was the only time in all my years viewing Tiger sports (hundreds of events) that I thought the refs were bias against the Tigers or willfully favored our opponent. Yesterday, I think, can be explained by sheer incompetence rather than enmity.

It did look like the refs had money on the game. One of the worst called games I have ever witnessed.

Surely you jest.
The absolute worst was the home BB game with Louisville a few years ago.
I do agree yesterday was absolutely a miserably officiated game.

Yes they did. Those b@stards were bought and it was very noticeable, they just didn't deliver the goods.

I remember that game as well and it was awful as well. The thing about yesterday was so many 15 yard penalties. On one drive alone they gave them 45 yards in personal foul penalties including the drive extending one that resulted in a TD. I loved how our players never let the officiating get to them, they just kept trucking along.

I remember that specific play. That definitely raised serious questions about the bias of the officials.

THAT was the worst. Vol referee...literally. In no particular order, the ones that stick out in my mind are.

@ Georgetown basketball 2009
UCF football, 2012

UCLA basketball 2006

that happened right in front of me. another unbelievable one was Joe Jackson dribbling out of the backcourt, getting called for an offensive foul against the player grabbing him from the side/behind. absolutely unreal. there were a lot but those two were off the chart.

Trigger happy refs can change a game - while at the same time not being biased. However, when you have a crew that is calling EVERYTHING...then you see the ref staring at a SMU player tackling our guy way out of bounds and choose not to call anyhing...it sure seems fishy.

Hope Norvell sent a tape to the league office.
