I agree with that. The band needs more involvement during the game. Ditch a lot of the canned music and the PA announcer who will not shut up. The bands drum corps should be going all game long.

How about just playing a recording of the fanfare that proceeds yelling Go Tigers Go?

Do it twice so the crowd can yell two times. That gives the band time to crank up the song proper and gets everyone ready to clap and yell again.

I would think it means that sounding the siren after TDs is cheap and second rate in comparison with what big time programs do.

That’s not necessarily my personal opinion regarding the siren. Simply answering your question.
